Duh. Check out our recent results: state-sanctioned torture (Abu Ghraib), the continuous projection of our own darkness for others (which are bad, it's good), a complete disregard for the rule of law when it is convenient, etc. etc.
One of the things I find that the biggest indicator that someone is a psychopath, because they feel that the law and generally accepted social standards should be applied to all, but be yourself. I think it would be difficult to argue for any reasonable person, the U.S. government and most companies is not filled to the brim with these people, and that therefore the collective psyche of the United States is also similar, especially in the recent years, a nation of sociopaths, the pre-war Nazi Germany.
Fortunately not. There are some exceptions, but they are the rule.
